Job Title: Project Officer (1 position in Sarajevo )

but not limited to, armed conflict areas.We are United Kingdom-based with active presence over 40 countries across the globe.  Islamic Relief has been operating since 1984.
Islamic Relief Worldwide has been present in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1992 and through its work continuously provides assistance and support to the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina,
and seeks to mitigate the negative socio-economic impacts.
 
Currently, Islamic Relief Bosnia and Herzegovina (IR&BIH) has its main office in Sarajevo and a sub-office in Tuzla. IR B&H operates many projects in different programs such as Child Welfare, Projects of psychosocial support, Agriculture, Fundraising, Emergency and Seasonal Projects. We operate across Bosnia and Herzegovina and work closely with Muslims and Non-Muslims, regardless of race, political affiliation, gender and belief.
 
Job Summary:
Assistance and support to the Program department with the aim of implementing projects under the supervision of the Program Manager. 
 
Job description:
  • Participates in the development of projects, project proposals and presentations,
  • Drafting of “concept notes” for projects
  • Translation of all necessary documents of the Representation of IR WW, office for BiH at the request of the director
  • Assists in the preparation of Project Reports for the Ministry of Displaced Persons and Refugees of Bosnia and Herzegovina
  • Enters Requests for orders in the AX system (Purchase requisition)
  • Archiving of project documentation
  • Participation in the development of strategic program documents such as: need assessment, work zones and project implementation
  • Giving suggestions, proposals and remarks in order to achieve better results of the work in the programs
  • Performs other tasks at the request of the Director and Program Manager
  • Works on project implementation activities in the office and in the field, while providing assistance to other persons participating in field activities
  • For his/her work reports to the Program Manager and Director of organization
Conditions for performing tasks
  • Completed High school 
  • Active knowledge of the English language (written and spoken)
  • Computer skills knowledge
  • Active driver – B category

Note: This job position corresponds to the level of secondary education.
