VACANCY – PROJECT MANAGER

In accordance with the indicated need for work in the Program Department of the organization Islamic Relief Worldwide, Bosnia and Herzegovina office,  on 10th December 2021 announces:
ADVERTISEMENT
for hiring workers for a definite period of time, with a mandatory probationary period of 3 months (with the possibility of extension due to the expected funds for projects) for the position:

1. Project Manager – 1 person in Sarajevo

Job description:

Harmonizes the activities of “Emergency projects” with the legislation in BiH and is responsible for them
Provides the necessary permits from the competent authorities for the implementation of the above projects of the IRBIH Representation
Performs fieldwork and visits to users for the purpose of monitoring and mentoring for these projects
Performs needs analysis of target groups for certain Islamic Relief WW policies
Work on the preparation and implementation of projects in coordination with other departments of Islamic Relief BIH
Prepare “concept notes” and narrative reports for these projects
Submit to the Director a proposal of locations and assistance required by the target groups of the project
Manage the mentioned projects of the IR BiH (according to the policies and procedures of Islamic Relief WW)
Prepares a weekly plan of activities, which he presents at meetings
Monitor the above projects with the responsible persons for each of the projects
Performs planning analysis and planning of financial realization of projects in cooperation with relevant departments (Procurement Department, Finance Department, Human Resources, Media and Child Welfare)
Provides training to employees necessary for the implementation of project activities of the office
Plan other project activities and promote support for quality project success also in cooperation with the Fundraising Department
The person in charge reports directly to the director of the organization

General conditions:

*Least complete high school or College of social or economic studies
*Work experience – 3 years
*Computer skills – MS Office
*Excellent knowledge of English (written and spoken)
*Active driver-category B
*To possess BiH citizenship
*That he/she has not a criminal record
*Readiness for the team and overtime work
*Loyalty, confidentiality, and respect for organizational values and policies such as Islamic values, Protection of children, Dignity at work, Fight against bribery and corruption, Code of Conduct, and Safeguarding.

The employee will perform the tasks of the “Project Manager” full time (40 hours per week) in the office in Sarajevo.
