Islamic Relief Worldwide has been present in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1992 and through its work continuously provides assistance and support to the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and seeks to mitigate the negative socio-economic impacts.
 
Currently, Islamic Relief Bosnia and Herzegovina (IR&BIH) has its main office in Sarajevo and a sub-office in Tuzla. IR B&H operates many projects in programs such as Child Welfare, Psychosocial support, Agriculture, Fundraising, Emergency and Seasonal Projects. We operate across Bosnia and Herzegovina and work closely with Muslims and non-Muslims, regardless of race, political affiliation, gender and belief.
 
Job Summary:
 
The Recruitment of HR Officer will be as a support to the HR department in the areas of recruitment, onboarding, and administrative duties under the supervision of HR & Administration Manager. 
 
Job description:
  1. Ensure the development of an efficient, clear and transparent relationship for human resources,
  2. Responsible for the creation, planning, coordination, and daily management of human resources, reporting and development of operations related to human resources,
  3. Preparing job descriptions, advertising vacancies and managing the recruitment process,
  4. Orientation of new employees and training of existing ones,
  5. Monitoring the performance of employees,
  6. Ensure that employees are organized and satisfied in their working environment,
  7. Monitoring the health and safety of employees,
  8. Implementation of systematic personnel development procedures,
  9. Providing advice on policies and procedures,
  10. Ensuring careful implementation of payroll and benefits administration,
  11. Communicating with staff about problems that affect their performance,
  12. Ensuring accurate and proper record keeping of employee data in electronic and digital format.
  13. Will work closely with the program manager, the department for logistics and procurement and finance,
  14. Performs other duties as directed by the Director and HR manager.
Essential:
 
Qualifications,Knowledge, Experience, Skills 
  • VSS; graduated from the Faculty of Law (240 ECTS); Graduated from the Faculty of Economics – Major in Management and Organization (MIO) (180 ECTS), Baccalaureate/Bachelor of Management or a relevant Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources (HR);. 
  • at least 3 (three) years of practical experience in human resources, preferably with an NGO;
  • additional training/certification in human resource management – may be an advantage
  • To establish good working relationships with a variety of people
  • To work under pressure and prioritize effectively
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Active driver (B category)
  • Working knowledge of MS Office.
