Job Title: Finance officer (1 position)
Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Reporting to : Finance manager

Islamic Relief has been operating since 1984.
Islamic Relief Worldwide has been present in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1992 and through its work continuously provides assistance and support to the population of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and seeks to mitigate the negative socio-economic impacts.
Currently, Islamic Relief Bosnia and Herzegovina (IR&BIH) has its main office in Sarajevo and a sub-office in Tuzla. IR B&H operates many projects in different programs such as Child Welfare, Projects of psychosocial support, Agriculture, Fundraising, Emergency and Seasonal Projects. We operate across Bosnia and Herzegovina and work closely with Muslims and Non-Muslims, regardless of race, political affiliation, gender and belief.
Reporting to the Line Manager, the Finance officer has responsibility and autonomy to plan and manage their own work for accurate and timely response in accordance with procedures and Month-end time timetable guidance issued by line Manager. The role has no line management responsibility.
Processing of all forms of payment and invoices,
Ensure that all transactions are supported by appropriate documentation and approvals
Pays invoices to suppliers and staff / employee costs
Ensure payment within 5 working days after completion of all supporting documents,
Make monthly salaries of workers and ensure timely payment of contributions and payroll taxes
Maintain a fixed assets register and conduct a quarterly inventory
Archiving and storage of original accounting documents which are the basis for accounting in the business books, after the completion of internal accounting control procedures.
Reconciliation of accounts and payments
Reconciliation and analysis of the General Ledger for “subledger” debt and creditor accounts.
Performs other tasks at the request of the Director and the Finance Manager.
Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Qualifications
At least three years of work experience in the same or similar jobs
To establish good working relationships with a variety of people.
To work under pressure and prioritize effectively
Previous experience working overseas, preferably with an NGO
Excellent written and spoken English.
Active driver (B category)
Working knowledge of MS Office
Desirable knowledge in AX or ERP systems
Committed to Islamic Relief Worldwide values and code of conduct.
At least completed High school, Certificate or Faculty of Economy
Note: This job position is corresponding to the level of secondary education
